Show HOT FIGHT ON PAVING Prcpcrtj-OTTBcrs on Brif-hani Brif-hani Street Will Go Be- fore Council Tonight The CityCouncil will wrestle with the problem of paving Brigham street from State to Thirteenth East street, at, its regular session tonight. Petitions both in favor of and against the proposed paving of the street will be presented. The question was placed in the hands of the Council's Committee on Streets for Investigation In-vestigation last weekand It was unfavorably unfavor-ably received, as it was believed that it would not be best to undertake the work his year. This report will go up to the Council tonight for acceptance -or rejection. rejec-tion. A number of Brigham street residents favoring the paving will be on hand to present their arguments and put up a fight for the Improvement. The petition asking for the immedlatfl improvement of the thoroughfare is said to have more signers than the one .asking for a delay. They say that property values val-ues will be enhanced from Ta to 100 per cent, and that the city will be made far more beautiful. . If the' work Is crowded It can be completed com-pleted before fall. The opposition is said to be composed of property-owners, having extended frontage front-age who feel that the cost would be too heavy. |
