Show Senate Resolution Washington June 25 The death of President Carnot was a subject of prayer by Rev Mr Milburnln the Senate Sen-ate Senator Morgan chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations offered offer-ed the following Resolved That the Senate ofthe United States unites with the American can people in expressing to the people of France sorrow and sympathy in the national bereavemsnt they are suffering suffer-ing from the cruel blow of the assassin assas-sin which was aimed at the peace of France and fell upon the heart of President Carnot and as a mark of re snect due to the memory of the wise virtuous and patriotic president of the republic of France the Senate will at the close of this proceeding stand adjourned ad-journed until tbmorrow at 10 oclock The president of the United States is requested to communicate this ex nression of national sorrow to the government gov-ernment of the republic of France and Mme Carnot Morgan In a brief speech referred to the patriotism of the people of the French republic and the cordiality of the relations between the two republics S At 1030 the Senate adjourned |
