Show Hand Craft Program Recommended For Leisure-Time Recreation By Mrs. Minnie Harris In the field of recreation, handcraft, hand-craft, has been given a very prominent place. There is at the present time, need for facilities which will promote constructive use of leisure-time. The possibilities of Handcraft are hounded onlv by the skies the possibility of finding one's self and giving expression through creative art. This not only gives pleasure but offers something of a useful nature as well Handicraft Handi-craft has so established itself in the very hearts of the people, there Js small danger it will ever become extinct. People are by nature creative. Thus, through this type of work, they, find pleasureable outlet for their own individualities. Handicraft Handi-craft is for the masses. The expense ex-pense is small enough that even those of very limited means can reach and participate. Very unique classes In handicraft handi-craft are being conducted In St. George for both children and adults and the public is Invited to participate, and to enjoy the art adventures with discarded materials. Traveling into the realms of discarded and forgotten things, the articles are converted Into beautiful find useful ornaments orna-ments for the home. Our art shop in the kindergarten room of the elementary school, has many surprises sur-prises for you. Come and visit our various age groups at work each day, Monday, through Thursday, Thurs-day, 3 to 6 p.m. For the past week, in the show windows of the Arrowhead hotel, there has Ix'cn a display of finished articles made by class members ranging in nge from eight to 77 years. Young children find joy and expression in painting paint-ing articled for the doll house. Young girls are interested in painting paint-ing gadgets for the trousseau. Mothers spend happy moments making polycrome serving trays, picture frames, vases, wool and paper pillows rirvl clror sto. |
