Show Funeral Is Held Wednesday For Mrs. Kirk Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the 1st ward chapel for Margaret Mar-garet Annie Richardson Kirk, 75, who died Sunday at the home of a daughter Olive Lillian Stanley, in Ogden. Bishop Frank Nye of the Magna LDS ward was in charge. The opening number was a vocal voc-al duet "Whispering H6pe" by Mrs. Barbara Young and O. K. Fatheringham, both of Magna. They were accompanied by Mrs. Grant. Prayer was offered by Alroy Al-roy Gillman, former Bishop of Lindon wad. A life sketch of Mrs. Kirk was read by Mrs. Ella Gurney. Speakers who paid tribute to the life and faithful service of the departed were former Bishop L. S. Walker, Patriarch D. B. Thone, and Bishop Ed-win R. Diamond Dia-mond of Magna. All offered sympathy sym-pathy and encouragement to the bereaved family. Other musical numbers were a vocal duet, "In The Garden of Tomorrow," To-morrow," by Mrs. Clara Edwards and Mrs. Ella Smith, accompanied by Margaret Caldwell, a vocal solo, "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling" by Warren Kirk, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Kirk. After the closing remarks of i sympathy and appreciation by Bishop Bis-hop Frank Nye, Mrs. Barbara Young sang the closing number, ""Face To Face." Benediction was pronounced by Joseph Swenson of the Lindon ward hishopric. Prelude and portlude music was played by Mrs. Loraine Ruffell. Interment was made in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where Edward M. Lambert offered offer-ed the dedicatory praye. Pall bearers all grandsons of Mrs. Kirk included Kirk Allred of Salt Lake City, Kay Leslie Kirk and LeMon Peterson of Magna, Harold Kay of Bingham, Russell Hanson, Lehi, and Glen Kirk of Nevada. Lindon ward Relief Society Soc-iety arranged the floral tributes. Ms. Kirk was born August 19, 1974, in Heber, a daughter of William Wil-liam and Jane Richardson. On Nov. 10, 1897, she was married in the Salt Lake Temple to William J. Kirk. He died Aug. 20, 1915. Most of her life she resided in Pleasant Grove until 1939 when she moved to Magna. She was a member of the LDS church and active in the Relief Society. Surviving are eight sons and daughters, Mrs. Jennie Erva Allred, Al-lred, Lindon, Alfred L. Kirk, Magna; Mag-na; Walter L. and Floyd R. Kirk, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Elizabeth Mildred Bray, Mrs. Stanley and Wilford William Kirk, Ogden, and Robet Kirk, Ely, Nevada; 32 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, James Richardson, Rich-ardson, Vernal, and a sister Mrs. Kate Ash, Pleasant Grove. |
