Show (Operation Fatal to i Gale Edward Jolley j Glade Edward Jollcy, the 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jollcy, 'died at the Salina hospital early ; Tuesday morning, following an operation oper-ation for an aggravated case of ap-; ap-; pendicitis. At the operation it was found that the appendix was abscess-: abscess-: ed and adhesions were found at the back and on the intestines, making 1 the operation most serious. Glade ; had been suffering for a month or ! more and on advice of the attending physician an operation was performed perform-ed as a last resort. Glade Jolley was born in Gunnison September 7, 1924, and was the oldest old-est son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jolley. Besides the parents he is survived by one brother, Welden, and three sisters, sis-ters, Eileen, Joyce and Voneta. i Funeral services were held yesterday yester-day afternoon from the Relief socl- ety hall, Bishop Leslie Kidman being1 in charge. President A. E. Park, Chas. Rasmussen and Bishop Kidman of Gunnison, and President Charles Hansen of Centerfield, gave brief ; talks. Appropriate musical selections were given by a quartet and solos by Mrs. Emily Knighton and E. L. Swal- j berg. Burial was at the Gunnison cemetery and during the ceremonies . there the quartet gave the selection, , "Oh, Grave, Where Is Thy Vivtory." |
