Show LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST Herbert G. Spencer, who was called here on account of the death of Mrs. Oswell Beck, left for his home at Salt Lake Sunday morning. Mrs. Spencer, formerly LaZella Beck, will leave the last of the week to join her husband. They will reside permanently perma-nently at the capital city. Mrs. Ira Overfelt and son, Eugene, were travelers to Salt Lake Sunday morning. They spent Monday as the guests of friends and returned to their home here Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Olsen, who have been absent from Gunnison for some years past, arrived here from Pocatello, Idaho, Friday. The Olsena will make Gunnison valley their future fu-ture home and Mr. Olsen will open a jewelry and watch repairing establishment. estab-lishment. For the present his shop will be at the Peter Hofheins home. Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Nelson were here from Richfield Sunday and were the guests for the day with friends and relatives. 1 P. P. The Mantians visited the cauliflower fields west of town and the great activity through the patches at harvest time, more than delighted the visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Dan P. Larson, who spent the past summer at Po-rterville, where Mr. Larson was working on a large ranch, have returned to Gunnison. Gunni-son. Mr. and Mrs. Larson expect to spend the winter here. Marshal and Mrs. R. L. Tollestrup were among the visitors to- the capital capi-tal city this week. They motored north Tuesday and will re.' urn today. E. Morgenson, representing the Detroit White Lead company, and Jack Schultz, traveling representative representa-tive for the Bemis Bag company, with headquarters at Salt Lake, were business visitors to Gunnison the first of the week.
