Grand opening ceremonies are sechduled for today at 3 p.m. including ribbon cutting and tours of the new facility. The Ed Johnson Tire service was started in 1924 by Edwin's father. Included In-cluded in the services offered by the business are front-end alignments, brake service and all of theii services to which customers of the business have been accustomed. Present for the ribbon cutting cut-ting ceremonies will be Jim Ward, sales manager of the tire division for Good Year, Akron, Ohio; Ray Graham, Gcod Year regional manager, Los Angeles, California; and Dean Sharp, district manager, Salt Lake City. The building w-as started in August and just recently completed. com-pleted. It's location is 610 North Main and represents an investment in the future of this community. Ribbon cutting ceremonies and tours of the new building and facilities of the Ed Johnson John-son Tire Service, 610 North Main will be held today at 3 p.m. according to Edwin Johnson, John-son, manager. The $150,000 facility, recently recent-ly completed is the new home for the business which was started by Edwin's father, the late Ed Johnson, and includes about 8.600 square feet of floor space. The building was designed de-signed by the Good Year Tire and Rubber Co. Ed Johnson Tire Service was established in 1924 and moved to its Second South location in 1945 where the business expan-' expan-' ded to its present size. In 1964 Ed retired and the business was purchased by Edwin. The business bus-iness has been affiliated with the Good Year Tire and Rubber Company for the past 38 years. The new facility includes a 6-day customer service area ex- |
