Show SMALL FIRE AT THE KOHLER RESIDENCE Fire originating from a defective flue at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd F. Kohler's last Thursday morning, was discovered in time to prevent what might have otherwise been a serious conflagration. Dr. Kohler was at home at the time and noticed the paper around the flue in the living room afire. He threw a small quantity of water on the burning paper and extinguished the blaze. A short time later he returned re-turned to the room to find that the fire had broken out again and the ceiling in flames. An alarm was turned turn-ed in, but before the fire department ariived, Dr. Kohler assisted by Dr. Parrish had succeeded in putting out the blaze. The damage occasioned by the fire amount to about fifty dollars, which was covered by insurance. |
