Show JOHN SANDERS IS . GUILTY OF MURDER Laborer of Cornish, Utah, Convicted . ' by Jury for Crime -Committed Last August. POCATELLCv March 14 John Sanders San-ders of Cornish, Utah, charged with, the murder of "Mike Pldock, near Downey In this county, last August, was yesterday yester-day found guilty: in Judge Budge's court, the verdict being murder In the second degree. The murder was a most atrocious one and the verdict of the lesser degree is believed to be due to the fact that the evidence was entirely circumstantial. Sanders and Pldock had' worked together to-gether on railroad grading and- were tramping southward. They were seen together at Thatcher and on the morning of August 24th the body of Pi-dock Pi-dock was found half a mile from Downey, partially consumed In a pile of burning ties. He had been struck on the head with a blunt instrument, and the murderer had tried to burn the body to conceal the crime. Pldock was known to be carrying some money with him and Sanders was connected .with the crime. |
