Fred Foster, Fos-ter, who owned Dr. Rice when that horse on the Brooklyn handicap from Henry of Navarre In 1894, has returned, tor the Cnlted Btatea after three years on the European turf. He raced horses In Turkey and Austria-Hungary the past two seasons, and claims he Is the only American who ever trained horses in the Eultan of Turkey's domains. Foster had charge of the late Baron George Blelchroeder thoroughbreds. ' "In Sarajero, the racing city of Turkey," Tur-key," said Foster, "I entered my horses in seven races and Won them all. At Budapest I finished third In the Derby. Subsequently I won seventeen consecutive consecu-tive race In that city and Vienna. "Turkey Is a good field for American I horsemen.
