Show August 28, 1997 NEWS BRIEFS Briefs D from page 5 Computer resource center open at FSC The Computer Resource Center is at the Family Support Center, Bldg. 308N. It is available to all military, Department of and their families. The center is open Monday, 7:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Tuesday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., and is closed holidays. The center has Internet job searches and resume help. There are also job books with job announcements from local employees. The lending library has books on resume writing and related subjects and motivational tapes and videos. The center has the Service member Transition and Relocation Training (START.) which helps with relocation assistance, benefits, and Veterans Administration forms; EZ Dot helps with skills identification and career exploration; Resume Maker assists with resume writing; and the Defense Outplacement Referal System is computerized resume network system where employers can look on line at resumes. Defense-civilians- Hill , Administrators Association membership drive set The Hill Administrators Association's annual member- ship is now - September. The association gives out scholarships to Hill family members and recognizes Hill employees with the IMAGE and MACH awards. Membership dues are $15 and goes directly to the scholarships. The group also fosters communication by having local leaders speak on a variety of issues. At the group's first luncheon Sept 9, Brig. Gen. Bountiful businesses will have available educational materials and the Challenge Quiz. The quiz will test an individual's knowledge of germs. To convert means choosing a $1200 lump sum payment or a deduction of $100 a month for 12 consecutive months. The form is available at the Base Education Center, Bldg. 383 during business hours.
