Mrs. Lewis Roe, Mrs. George Fames and Dick Fames were in Pocatello Saturday where they attended the funeral of Mrs. Matilda Fames Smith. Mrs. Farrell N. Beckstead was in Ogden on business. Mrs. Katherine Foss and Dr. Catherine Roberts and son, Jimmy Gene, visited with friends and relatives rela-tives in Salt Lake City last weekend. Mrs Edgar Johnson and children of Eden, Utah, left Saturday for their home after a four-day visit with their aunt and uncle, Miss Mabel Jones and Richards Jones. Mrs. A. C. Conine visited over the week-end with friends in Lima, Mont. Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Shunnvay of Treasureton were dinner guests Sunday! at the home of Mrs. Shum-way's Shum-way's parents Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Calmer. Mr. and Mrs. George Heath are the parents of a baby boy born on May 5 at the Preston hospital. Mrs. Lloyd Hogge returned last Wednesday from a week's visit with friends at Ashton, Idaho. Mrs. Carlton Doud visited last week with her parents at Idaho Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stangle of Custer, South Dakota, were weekend week-end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs.' Thomas Doyle. They were en route to California. Mr. and Mrs. Watrous Babb left Monday to make their home in Denver, Colo. Among those attending the Rotary Ro-tary convention held this week in Boise were Dr. and Mrs. Allan Cutler, Cut-ler, Mr. and Mrs. J. Homer John-sou, John-sou, Mr. and Mrs. William J. Fryer, and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Crockett. v Keith Merrill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Merrill of Preston, enlisted en-listed in the coast guard training school at Port Townsend, Wash. Mr. Merrill was placed in charge of 19 men en route to Washington. Abner Larsen is confined to a Seattle hospital where he is recovering recov-ering from a recent operation. He was unable to attend the funeral of his father, Willard Larsen who passed away last Wednesday. |
