Show Opera "Pauline" The opera "Pauline," given by the Music department of the High School at the Opera House Monday evening, was without doubt the best musical treat seen in Mt. Pleasant for years. The boys and girls did credit to themselves and the school to which they belong. Some were only amateurs, having never appeared ap-peared on the stage before, but were very successful in rendering their parts in a most pleasing manner before be-fore the large audience which attended. at-tended. j Miss Hortense Syndergaard, who took the part of Pauline, rendered her part in an excellent manner. The three tramps took the audience by storm and their appearance will be remembered for many years to come. The opera was played at Fairview Wednesday and was well received by the appreciative audience, which responded with hearty applause. |
