Show DIXIE FOREST NOTES John F. Laub, a rancher and stockman stock-man of Enterprise, has recently done some riding in the Bull Valley country and reports more snow for this season sea-son of the year than at any time during dur-ing he last 20 years. Cattlemen from Pinto, Gunlock ad Shoal creek who have lately been riding rid-ing the lower ranges state that the deer ha;-e come through the winter in fine shape and are more numerous than ever. The 1050 bucks which were killed on that part of the preserve which was opened to hunting iast fall were, they say, only a small part of last year's increase. Engineer Arthur Fife and Ranger Seaman recently made a skii trip into the medium mountain elevations southeast south-east of Cedar City. They found on an average of 40 inches of snow on the 8500 foot levels and estimated there were CO inches on the mountain summits. sum-mits. Rai'ger Seaman has just completed the painting of 100 numbered signs for use in designating grazing and forest for-est management study plots.
