Show FUNERAL SERVICES FOR ED FOSTER Funeral services lor Edgar Foster who died in a Las Vegas hospital lasjf Wednesday, were held at the Taber nacle last Saturday under the auspice .' of the south ward, Bishop F. G. Mile presiding. The speakers were D. H. Morris W. W. Mc Arthur, and Bishop F. C; Miles. j The south ward double quartet fur( nished the music. A duet was renderj ed by Ruth Allen and Alta Holt anc Lyle Cory of Cedar City gave a solo. The remains were laid to rest ir the St. George cemetery. : Edgar Foster was born September 16; 1884, at St. George, the son of Solon, Foster, Jr., and Marguerite Moody Fos-. ter, old residents of this city. His fa-! ther died at St. George in the year 1894, and his mother is now living at Salt Lake City. He was married to Roxie Coats, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank' Coats, in the year 1909. His wife died in 1917, and there are three children1 surviving, Bernice, 18 years of age,: Paul, 16, and Clark, 14. Six brothers also surive. They are: S. J. Foster cashier of the Bank of; Southern Utah, at Cedar City, J. M. Foster, an attorney of Cedar City; Jo- j seph D. Foster, and George W. Foster, Fos-ter, now living at Cedar City and engaged en-gaged in the farming business. Vyv-ian Vyv-ian Clift and Clive Clift, sons of Dr. ; Frederick Clift and Marguerite Moody! Clift, and two sisters, Tillie Hedquist j and Ruth Engelman. Dr. Clift was a i physician in St. George for a number num-ber of years and is well known by all the older residents of this place. Vyv-ian Vyv-ian Clift is now head bookkeeper of the May-tag Washing Machine Co of Salt Lake City and Clive is in charge of the office of the Burroughs Adding Machine Co., at Boise, Idaho. Tillie j Hedquist is now an instructor at the Jackson school, Salt Lake City, and ' Ruth Engelman lives at Inglewood Cal- i ifornia. Edgar Foster has made St. George his home all his life and was engaged in the livestock business on the Arizona Ari-zona Strip. He worked at the mines at Goodsprings, in the vicinity of Las Vegas, Nev., for a few years, but recently re-cently returned to his home at St. George. He leaves many friends and acquaintances both here and at Good-springs. |
