Show MILFORD FIVE WHIP HINCKLEY 26-11 IN SATURDAY NIGHT MIX Milford high school basket ball team piled up a score of 26 - 11 on Hinckley when the teams met on the local court Saturday night. The Hinckley men, fresh from the licking at the hands of Minersville the preceeding night, faced the Milford five with a marked lack of confidence and though they had plenty of chances for goals, could not seem to find the basket. Under the circumstances, Milford did not have sufficient competition to play its best game and though the individual work of members of the team was good, there was a loosening of team work and a weaking of the close organization that showed so well in the game the local boys played with Fillmore the preceeding week. However, this weakness may b e attributed to the lack of practice ilue to the illness of several of the men. Horton and Easton did the heavy scoring for the local five while Pratt did nlost of the scoring for Hinckley. Coach Melbourne Heslington used his regular string, Horton, Hickman, Killam, Easton and Andrews throughout through-out the game in spite of having the game on ice from the first moments of play. Blake, Ilawley, Pratt, ,IIeeves, Greener and Knight played for Hinckley Hinck-ley while Dave Pearce referced the game and J. Frank Smith served as umpire. Minersville plays Milford here Friday Fri-day night and as these two teams havo shown up strongest in the league so far according to dopsters figures Saturdays night's game will be of considerable importance. |
