Show BOY FACING LARCENY CHARGE IS RETURNED HERE FROM NEVADA A warrant has been sworn out against C. A. Cappinger and the boy has been taken into custody by Deputy De-puty Sheriff Ted Cronholm on grand larceny charges brought against him by Mrs. Hattie O'Leary proprietress of a local cleaning establishment. Cappinger who has been in the em- j ploy of Mrs. O'Leary for several months failed to appear for work last j Saturday morning. On investigation,! Mrs. O'Leary found that a diamond ring, a neckless that she values at j $300 a grip and some clothing which had been left for laundering by R. H. Nelson had disappeared. Seen Making Getaway Cappinger had been seen in the neighborhood of the depot with the suitcase early Saturday morning by several townspeople and on gaining this information, Mrs. O'Leary notified noti-fied deputy sheriff Cronholm and swore out a warrant for the arrest of the boy. Cronholmi sent messages down the line and reiceived a wire Sunday morning from Sheriff Joe Keate of Las Vegas that a boy answering the discription of Cappinger had been taken into custody by the Las Vegas authorities and that a grip and a neckless had been found in his possession. posses-sion. Cronholm left immediately for Las Vegas, and as Cappinger waived extradition, ex-tradition, the deputy sheriff brought him back to Milford Wednesday afternoon after-noon where he is being held for a arraignment before Justice Bert Nichols. |
