Show THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS: Your Privilege, Your Right! Vote Your Choke Tuesday Tuesday's Primary will have important races in both state and county columns on both the Democratic and Republican Re-publican Tickets and races for Senator and State Representative Repre-sentative on the American Ticket. , Each ticket will carry a non-partisan race for Justice Jus-tice of the Supreme Court. The four candidates are, Judge E. R. Callister, Jr. (Incumbent) ; D. Clayton Fairbourn, Jefferson E. Le-Cates, Le-Cates, and Richard J. Maug- han. The only race for U. S. Senator is between Bruce Bangerter and Kenneth Larsen, Lar-sen, on the American Party ticket. Democrat Wayne Owens and Republican Jake Garn each got a free ride through the Primary by capturing cap-turing 70 of their convention conven-tion delegate vote. For U. S. Representative Dist. 2, the Republicans must choose from Austin H. Belnap and Stephen M. Harmson. The Democrats will choose from Allen T. Howe and Daryl J. McCarty. The only Primary race for State Representative Dist. 72 is between Wayne Boucher Bouch-er and Paul Turner. Democrat Demo-crat Incumbent Dewain Washburn and Republican Dean Samuels are unuppos-ed. unuppos-ed. The local county races possibly have more Interest to local voters with incumbent incum-bent County Commission chairman Fred Harris, being opposed on the Democratic ticket by Beaver City businessman, busi-nessman, Mack L. Patterson, Patter-son, for the two-year commission com-mission seat. Republicans Rex Carter and Blake Smith will do battle for the same position. The Democrats have two more choices than on the Republican Re-publican and American Party Par-ty tickets. Sheriff Mel Tait is opposed by former deputy Dale E. Nelson for sheriff and Justice Edmund L.Smith i is opposed by Benjamin E. Price in the Milford Precinct. Pre-cinct. Perhaps the lack of interest inter-est in the state and federal contests is because of the lack of interest shown in Beaver County by the candidates. can-didates. Daryl J. McCarty is the only candidate to make a pre -primary stop In Beaver County, to this writer's knowledge. A noon luncheon for him last Saturday at Milford Mil-ford was changed to noon Friday - then he and his contingent con-tingent arrived about 1:30 p.m., after it was all over. The polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Tues-day, with Milford 1 voting at the Library, Milford 2 at the old High School Gym, Minersville at the Fire House, Greenville at the church, Beaver 1 at Federal Bldg., and Beaver 2 at the Beaver City Office. Unless you attended the Mass Meetings, or were a delegate to the county or state conventions, where most of the decisions were made, you haven't had a choice as yet.
