Show Upland Game Hunt Gets Shortened All Over State The upland bird hunt got underway Monday with the opening of dove season. These will include the sage grouse - Sept. 28 through Oct. 4; forest grouse - Sept. 28 through Nov. 30 statewide state-wide with daily limit four and eight in possession; chuckar and Hungarian partridge -Sept. 28 through Jan. 15; cottontail cot-tontail rabbit - Sept. 28 through Jan. 31, with daily limits 10 and 20; sharptail grouse - Sept. 28 through Oct. 4; and turkey - Sept. 28 through Oct. 6, with a limit of one either sex. The archery deer season which is underway, has been skimpy to date according to local hunters. A few deer have been bagged however. |
