Show he will miss the whole thing. My next field neighbors moved the other day. I'll miss their tinkling bells. Wayne Gonder moved the sheep out and down the road to the other field. I still have the six horses as friends, cause they like my beans, apples and watermelon rinds real well. I've sure got slow blood living out here. I cut my finger on Monday and it didn't bleed until Thursday. but we have the best looking kids. It sure is nice to "Howdy" your neighbors, even if it is at the 31 milepost and the middle of thehlway.We were just turning around, after driving out there to help someone in trouble, and from Delta way comes Betty Baker. She stopped and we conversed a little. Her Fred has really kept her busy this summer, so maybe this winter wint-er she can slow down just a little. Noticed where Jake Gam visited Fillmore. Just wait till he lands at our airport and we drive him through the business district. I just hope he doesn't sneeze, or sister, Pat Gonder's, but 2 in the a.m. was just a little too early to visit so everyone every-one went back to sleep till later. LaRue and Cecil Rowley drove to Cedar City on road business and then next day to Delta for more business. Billie and Glenn Osborne came to Salt Lake for parts to fix some of Carpenter's equipment at Big Springs. They stopped on their way home and spent the night with daughter and family in Springville. A few days later, lat-er, they went to Enterprise, Utah to the mission homecoming home-coming of niece Colleen Stewart, daughter of brother Leo. She had finished a two-year two-year mission in Finland. School started today, the 26th, and the children were all decked out in bright new clothes. Not bragging much, Well, here I set in Salt Lake City, telling about the ups and downs and ins and outs of Garrison. Jane and John Brooks (they were at the fish hatchery two years ago) stopped by to tell how things are in Las Vegas and to attend a church go-ing-away party for Ann and Lee Robinson. Lee is retiring retir-ing from being the Superintendent Superin-tendent of the Park Service at Lehman Cave. Kay Cold-erwood Cold-erwood was the hostess and did a very fine job. Chub Richardson spent a couple of days visiting his two sisters in Salt Lake. He left early and Bud and Gen passed him on the highway, cause they were city-bound also. Last Saturday and Sunday Fred and I were in Ely helping help-ing the Ely Lions with their annual Chuck Wagon Breakfast. Break-fast. When I say we, Fred did ""all the cooking and I just supervised. su-pervised. They had a real good turnout. We served Lee and Zelma Dearden, Vivian, Billy and Edith Dearden, from Salt Lake. Smart Vera stayed home, as she isn't too fond of the horse races. Fred broke even. Also in Ely we saw Carl and Aleeda Dearden. Son Tom was there, but alone. Our new lower grade teacher is Miss Becky Dill-worth. Dill-worth. I'll find out more about her next week, but she survived the first day, so there is hope. The team roping is going real good for the cowboys, Carl and Tom Dearden, Ladd Davies and Lee Whitlock. They even take their wives and all go to Scipio. Continued Contin-ued good luck fellows. Molly and Wayne Gonder's daughter, Lila, husband Dorian Dor-ian Faber and children, flew in and landed at Garrison International Airport. They will be staying about a week, with a side trip to Provo to visit their oldest son at BYU. They said our weather beats their's at home in Merced, Calif. Pat Gonder had 28 people to lunch after Primary graduation grad-uation on Sunday. Owen helped help-ed serve and had his share of the tasty food Pad had fixed.
