Hlood, back home from an extended stay in j Washington, plunged into tlie study of calling a special session of the state legislature, immod- ! iately on his arrival. Sunday. The special session was held necessary for the purpose of fixing the state tax levies, in an opininn by Attorney General Joseph Chez. The legislature overlooked enactment enact-ment of the law fixing the levies in the closing moments 'of the regular session. The governor refused to commit himself before studying the Chez ruling. There is a strong movement in i the state to pass on the state pio-hibition pio-hibition referendum if the special session :3 called. |
