Show IRENE DUNNE COMING HERE NEXTSUNDAY Irene Dunn, who scored an outstanding out-standing sucess in "Cimarron" and "Back Street," makes her latest appearance on the screen in "The Secret of Madame Blanche," new Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer production pro-duction which will be shown at the Rivoli theater Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The picture Is said to encompass the life of a woman over a period of thirty years, giving Miss Dunne a role comparable to that played by Helen Hayes in "The Sin of Madelon Claudet." The story starts with Miss Dunne a a young American Ameri-can chorus girl and progresses through her love affair and marriage mar-riage with a titled Englishman to the tragic results of his suicide. When her child is taken from her by a jealous father-in-law, the heroine of "The Secret of Madame Mad-ame Blanche" is subjected, to a series of tremendously dramatic interludes until years later she again meets her son. He is involved in-volved in a shooting scrape for which she takes the blame, and is about to be sent to prision when a surprise climax gives the story an unexpected turn. |
