Show MANY ATTEND FUNERAL FOR ORPIIA DEAL Largely attended and impressive services were held, Saturday afternoon, after-noon, in the Third ward chapel, for Miss Orpha Deal, who died last Wednesday evening at the family residence, following a long illness. Bishop Andrew Peterson, was in charge of the services. Music was furnished by Helen and Margaret Fox who sang a duet; Elmo Coff-man Coff-man and Mrs. Isabel Brown, each gave a vocal solo, and Miss Hazel Anderson furnished a violin selection. selec-tion. Peter Nielson, former ward bishop, E. M. Boyer and Bishop Peterson spoke in glowing terms of the splendid character of Miss Deal. The invocation was offered by John S. Boyer and the benediction by William Witney of the ward bishopric. Aaron B. Mendenhall dedicated the grave at the Evergreen Ever-green cemetery. She was born in Springville, Aug. 27, 1882, a daughter of D. Edgar unci Nancy Jane Clark Deal. She had always made her home there, and even though she had been unable un-able to take an active part in com- mimity affairs due to rheumatism, from which she had suffered for 33 years, she was exceptionally well known for her amiable disposition 'ind outstanding personality. Surviving are her mother and the following sisters: Mrs. John Rod-fiU Rod-fiU Rupert, Idaho; Mrs. William R. Finch, Los Angeles Calif.; Mrs. Maude E. Wood, Ogden; Mrs. N. E. A,'gyle, Salt Lake; Mrs. Charles Boyer and Mrs. Cue Nelson, Springville. |
