Show Leeds'. We have quite a representation of children this year at the Branch Normal Nor-mal school at Cedar City. Eight registered reg-istered at the commencement, of the term, and three more intend going shortly. Fruit drying aliout finished; the crop is light owing to late frost and scarcity of water. The yield of wheat between fourteen and fifteen hundred bushels, more than ever harvested before at this place. This, if properly distributed, would very nearly supply the people with bread. It is rumored on the streets that our old time friend, Robort G. McQuarrie, is intending to leave Silver Reef, arid that another man is coming to take his place as Superintendent of the business there. We will here note that as a straightforward', honorable business man R. G. McQunrrie will be. .hard, to beat, and he will leave with the good wishes of the entire people in his favor. Our townspeople will he quite few at home this winter, owing to those being away at school and many ethers who have gone or are going to find labor for the winter. Tt is croing to be hard to keep some of Cur organizations, more especially the MutuM. We also have a couple of missionaries in the field and possibly more will have to ro.
