Show SYRACUSE SELECTED FOR BIG DAIRY SHOW Farm Bureau Federation and Other Farm Organizations Are Given Much Credit. Syracuse, N. Y., has been selected for the National Dairy show this year, it has been announced by W. E. Skinner, secretary of the show. The show will be staged at the New York State Fair Grounds the week of Oc- tober 6, coincident with the World's Dairy Congress. The board of directors and executive committee of the National Dairy association as-sociation which was entrusted with the selection of the site for the big exposition chose Syracuse after the qualifications of several eastern cities had been carefully considered. Enos. R. Lee, president of the New York State Farm Bureau federation, in expressing gratification that New York State had secured the show, pointed out that Syracuse was awarded award-ed the honor In competition with several sev-eral larger cities chiefly because of the active Interest of the Farm Bureau federation and other farm organizations organiza-tions of the state, the State College of Agriculture, and the State Fair commission. The exposition, which Is arranged under the auspices of the United StatM government, will be one of the biggest agricultural events of the year. Every dairy nation has been asked to send representatives and exhibits. ex-hibits. The Invitations sent out by President Harding several months ago have been accepted by Canada, England, Eng-land, Denmark, Italy, France, Belgium and other nations. |
