Show VOLGA WINS ANOTHER BIG TROTTING RACE Takes Two Halves in Fast Time; Has Little Competition Com-petition at Finish. .COLUMBUS', Ohio, Sept. 2S. Volga, champion two-year-old trotter of this racing season, stepped the last halves of two one-mile heats in 1:03 and 1:04 while winning the Chicago Horseman and Spirit of the Times futurity, one of the principal events on today's Grand circuit card. Over a cuppy track Volga finished each heat alone, Btngen Silk in turn placing by rushes past Suldine and Walnut Tree. The winner last week won the Horse Review Re-view race for trotters of her age. Lizzie Brown, counted on to have the Chamber of Commerce trotting stake at her mercy, did win, but five heats were required. She broke at the turn home while leading in the first heat and in the third heat when near the finish her unsteadiness was repated. BAssie R. was first choice in the 2:15 pace, but raced second to Mary Coast-man, Coast-man, tiie latter taking the last three of five heats. In this race Fred Kagan was taken from behind Dexter Direct. The Judges relieved Driver Marsh, who had Durin in the 2:18 trot, after the second sec-ond heat. The horse, the original favorite, fa-vorite, was gotten away well in the third, but broke before the rlrst quarter was reached. Onward Forbes won the race in straight heats.
