Manti won the dis-tinrtion dis-tinrtion of being the cleanest and most sanitary city in tho state in the "clean town contest'' held Inst year. Last month the reports of tvphoid cases at Manti and vicinity led to an investigation bv the state board. It developed de-veloped that the scare was started bv the cases of Leslie and Vernon Madaeri. Investigator Wallis learned that these youiijj men were members of the state militia, and had contracted tvphoid somewhere en route to or from the militia encampment. Thus, reports Mr. Wallis. no blame for the incipient epidemic epi-demic is attached to conditions in Manti, which he finds excellent. I |
