Show BOY SCOUTS WILL GO TO WANDAMERE Lads Axe to Give Exhibition in Camp Work, Including Preparation of Own Supper. More than 200 boy scouts will partici-pate partici-pate in contests and exhibitions in scout work at a big rally to take place at VSundamere park Saturday, October U. It is expected that at least 1000 members mem-bers of the organization will be in attendance. at-tendance. Tho rally will begin at 8 o'clock Saturday afternoon and will continue, until la'te at night. The boys will prepare their own supper and will romriin fnr o kn.R.. : mt:. gathering will be addressed bv scout masters and prominent men of Salt Lake. In the afternoon contests will be held in tent raising, fire lighting and water boiling, semaphore signal work, stretcher carrying, first aid bandaging and rope ticing. In addition there will be exhibitions of rubbiug stick fire, trek wagons, human pyramids and wall scaling. About twenty-five troops, each made up of eight boys, will participate. A preliminary contest was held last Saturday between eight teams from the Granite stake. The first prizo was won by the Waterloo team. |
