An interesting case of troubled conscience has been brought lo light through a letter let-ter received by A. F. Root of Glens Falls from a man in Oregon. Forty years ago, the writer says, he stopped at a store In Schroon river, kept by Roofs father, and bought a number of articles, i The storekeeper cheated himself out of 5 cents. The man noticed it but said nothing. In his letter he recounts the circumstances and says that it has troubled him all these years, and that it was the one dishonest act of hia lire. He inclosed a money order for 5 cents, being principal and interest. |
