Show SMALLPOX IS CHECKED N(h New Cases Reported Today, and Quarantine Is Observed. There have been- no cases of smallpox reported to the City Board of Health today. - The city portion of the stricken Sugar Su-gar ward district Is fairly under control, con-trol, and If the quarantine regulations are properly respected It will only be a question of a few weeks before the disease will be almost stamped out. The following Is a sample of the aid accorded the authorities by the residents resi-dents of the afflicted district In Sugar-house Sugar-house ward: Salt Lake City, June 3, 1903. Quarantine Physician: Dear Sir: There is another case of chicken-pox in Sugar-house ward, Bryan avenue, on the left hand elde, second house. Probably Prob-ably it would be well to investigate. CITIZEN. Here is a case which illustrates how the disease spreads. These directions are lucid compared with some that are received. The department Is expected to investigate every anonymous complaint com-plaint and frequently loses time and the case because of limited advice. |
