Kay, Utah pioneer of 1857, and a former for-mer stato legislator, nt tho residence of Mrs. K. N. Dnvis, P28 East Fourth South street. Addresses were delivered by former for-mer Mayor Lafayette Holbrook of Provo nnd Judge W. II. King. Tho Bervlccs were conducted by Major K. W. Young. Tho Imperial Quartette, under tho direction direc-tion of Fred Graham, 'sang "Nearer, My God, tt Thee,'' ' Wc Shall Meet Beyond tho Ktver" nnd "I Need Thco Every Hour." Iloth .ludgri King nnd Mr. Holbrook paid high tribute to the deceased, as a man of character aud Integrity, antiono who lived the truth as ho knew it. The interment took place at the City efcmetery. ' The Iloritl offerings were many aud beautiful. The decea-ed was ono of the best known of the country town bithlposs men in the Stale of Utah. It was in Millard county coun-ty where Mr Kay engaged most extensively exten-sively in his earlier business 'career. Ho represented that part of tho state iu tho Legislature In ISJ7-8.
