He then finished his mission to its completion. His love for his family was always evident. He spent his whole life making sure they were cared for . He loved to build things and his family was the recipient of many beautiful pieces of furniture. He loved sports and excelled in everything he ever participated in. He played in the city softball league and belonged to the American Fork Riding Club. He served two years in the Army during World War II, then was called back to active duty during the Korean Conflict. He loved music and could play the harmonica and chromatic by ear. Many people, especially his family, enjoyed his music. He kept playing even when he hardly had air enough to breathe with. He was loved, admired and respected by his family for the strong, sensitive person he was. He spent the last several years of his life in pain and much suffering. He bore it with dignity and patience. Those who loved him willmisshim deeply. Daryl Warren (DerryT Greening, 73, died at his home Oct. 17, 1994. He was born June 4, 1921 in American Pork, a son of Emma Elizabeth Binch and William Franklin Greening. He married Ruth Pace Oct. 6,1944inProvo. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. Survivors include his wife of American Fork; four daughters and one son: Paula (Robert) Durrant and Jody Wilson, both ofAmerican Fork; J anet ( Wes) Duvall, Pleasant Grove; Ruth Ann (Bob) Haycock, Lehi; Jerry (Julie) Greening, Tooele; 21 Isetta M. Turner grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters: Ellis and Arlan Greening, Orem; Don and Dale Greening and Mrs. Ted (Elaine) Bird, all of American Fork; Mrs. Glen (Marian) Newman, Pleasant Grove; Ila Jean Kelson, Kearns. He was preceded in death by two infant children, Glenna Rae and Daryl Warren; his mother; two brothers, Harold Greening and Glen Greening; and a sister, Lois G. Sorenson. Before he became ill, Deny was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in various callings including ward clerk, home teacher and missionary. He served with his e wife on a mission. While 1 married Ed- ward Coleman Dec. 19, 1928 in the Logan LDS Temple. Because Lila's father was a miner, Lila was raised in many places such as Mercur, Eureka, Helper and Bingham. The family alsohomesteaded afarm in Meeker, Colo., moving there and back to Utah in a covered wagon and enduring the trials of pioneer life. Herfavoritechildhoodhome was Santa Cruz, Calif., afterwhich the family moved to Yakima, Wash, and lastly Acequia, Idaho. After hermarri age, her husband farmed in Paul and Salmon, Idaho, later moving to West Jordan. Finally the family settled in American Fork where her husbandfarmed and worked at Murray Elevators. They purchased the old McNeil Market by the old American Fork High School where they served the local neighborhood as well as several years of students in their "Coleman Market." Lila was very active in the LDS Church.
