The sense of smell is one of the first senses to go to sleep when you do. You will sleep through any odor, including smoke. Smoke is composed of poisonous gasses that numb the senses and put you into an even deeper sleep. Smoke Detectors are inexpensive devices made to sound an alarm and alert you to fire and cut your risk of dying in a home fire in half.
