Show PRESTON HIGH HOLDS PEP DAY Preston High's rep Day, September Septem-ber 12, was hilariously met by every ev-ery student. Each student was given giv-en a small slip of colored paper which was matched with a slip held by a faculty member. Progressive Pro-gressive games was the first feature. fea-ture. These games included such unusual ones as broncho tag, in- tprfpwnf'P lap- p-peso nnl p-nncft and dumhell tag all of which the I students enjoyed very much. The second feature, and perhaps the most exciting, was the numerous numer-ous contests between the 'Classes. The watermelon eating contest w as really a riot. Mack Kenning -ton proved his ability by defeating the others maybe because of his huge bites and Wilbur Picket was runner-up. The sandbag race prov. , ed the Juniors superior to the sophomores. In the tug-of-war, however, the Seniors defeated the Juniors and Sophomores but the Faculty show., ed their superiority over the Seniors. Se-niors. The fatalities of this enjoyable day included a cracked rib of Tholo -Hansen, who was compelled to miss a few days of school, and several minor bruises. Of course, several suffered from the over eating of watermelon which w-as served by the Homemaking girls. |
