Show Lynndyl . . . Mrs. Rnchel Simpson Mr. and Mrs. Myron Vest and Sammy, Mrs. Myla Roundy and 2 children spent a few days visiting in Milford with Mayor and Mrs. Carlyle Gronning. Joe Pargis went to Salt Lake City and joined his wife and attended the funeral of her friend who originally or-iginally came from Iowa with Mrs. Pargis. Blaine Coleman and Frank Godfrey God-frey of Provo, drove Mr. and Mrs. Williams home Wednesday where Mr. Coleman had been for medical treat ment. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Miller of Milford returned to Lynndyl to get their children after vacationing in San Francisco for a week. Sunday Jim and Uray Smith, Donna and Evelyn Bringard of Delta, Del-ta, and Dern Roper spent the day in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Twitchell have moved and are now living in Mrs. Hilda Clark's home. Saturday night, when returning from the dance in Delta, Rudger Wiley met with a car accident which resulted in a very serious arm injury. Carl Benson and his wife, Ann Wiley, took him into Salt Lake City to the L D S hospital. hospi-tal. Graduation exercises of the Seminary Sem-inary of Delta were held in the high school Sunday evening. Those who graduated from Lynndyl were Gladys Banks, Eldonna Coleman, Emagene Greathouse and Russell Dutson. Those who attended the exercises were Mr. and Mrs. Alma Ranks, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Great-house, Great-house, Mrs. Joe Pargis and Mrs. William Coleman. Mr. and Mrs. John Talbot and son, Earl, returned from Los Angeles An-geles after having spent a pleasant' pleas-ant' visit with their children. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Greathouse spent a day in Fillmore. Mae Miller and son, Billy, Effie Allen, Ruby, and Rachel Simpson, spent Monday in Delta and Oak City. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith and Jim-mie, Jim-mie, were Oak City visitors Monday. Mon-day. Wednesday evening Mrs. Jennie Huddleston entertained the "500" club. Cards were enjoyed and Sol Angell won high score; Virginia McMahon, second high; and Mrs. Viola Angell won the cut prize. Punch and cookies were served to the following: Mary Smith, Effie Ef-fie Allen, Rachel Simpson, Kate Hayes, Viola Angell, Sol Angell, & Virginia were special guests. Saturday morning Mr. and Mrs. Mel Majers and family and Jay Simpson went to the canyon and cooked their breakfast and enjoyed the day. Major Warren Miller went to Salt Lake City Monday for a few days. Mrs. Hilda Clark is spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark and her many friends in Lynndyl. Bill Simpson went to Caliente on Tuesday, where he is working for the railroad. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Woodbury had as their guests Tuesday, Mrs. Warner, Doris Warner, Mr. and Mrs. Teddy Smith and Mrs. Slaughter. After the music festival Tuesday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Woodbury Wood-bury entertained the out of town guests at their home. Mrs. Effie Johnson of Los Angeles Angel-es arrived here Sunday to be here for her son's, Norman, graduation. They will return to Los Angeles on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shipley and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Greathouse spent Tuesday in Manti at the Temple. Mrs. Reed Larsen, Mrs. Charles Smith and Miona Ivie were Provo visitors Monday. They took the girls back to school, after having spent the weekend at home. The Mutual play was put on in Hinckley, Oak City and Leamington Leaming-ton last week. Miss Glenna Roper is visiting in Portland, Oregon, for three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Ivie had as their guests, Mrs. Ivie's mother, Mrs. ..Wiiijam Penney of Kanosri.. Mts&JwS". Hewlett of Kanosh arrd chtldten "visited with her parents, Mr'fn3 -Mrs. Irvin Whatcott. Mrs. Maxfield entertained for her little daughter's birthday Tuesday. The first grade children enjoyed refreshments re-freshments and games. Louie Jorgenson of Los Angeles went through Lynndyl Sunday on his way to Denmark to see his brother. Mr. Jorgenson was an old time resident of Lynndyl. He built the garage here and later was in business in Delta with Mr. Mayer. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Larsen Lar-sen had as dinner guests, her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. William Walker of Sutherland, and siter, Mrs. Zola Wright of Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Wall came down Sunday to get his wife, Betty, Bet-ty, as they are making their home in Salt Lake City. They were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Ogden. ,Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills went fishing fish-ing Sunday in Milford. Clean Up Day was last Saturday but did not prove to be successful as was hoped. So few turned out to do their share. Vernon Gronning and Floyd Roundy went on a fishing trip to Richfield. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark and children were dinner guests Sunday Sun-day of Mr. and Mrs. Jery Nielson. The afternoon was spent in Hinckley. |
