Miss Belli Alene Wilchen is one V- 5 of the !!) graduates of the Holy 'Cross hospital school of nursing. Graduation exercises were held in W Salt Lake City on Tuesday evening May 21. Miss Wilchen is the daughter dau-ghter of Mr. and Mrs. George Q. Wilchen, former Deltans who are now living at Clearfield. H. B. Waters, president of the Telluride Power Co. was a business busi-ness visitor to Delta last week. Mrs. Dennis Black, from Baldwin Bald-win Park, California, is visiting in Delta, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. V. S. Barney. It has been twenty years since Mrs. Black lived here. Mrs. Grant Church went to Og-den Og-den Friday, nnd Mrs. Eb Stapley went on Saturday, where they met their husbands, who have been shearing sheep. Mrs. James A. Briggs, from Og-den, Og-den, and her son, Leonard Briggs and his wife, are visiting in Delta with Mrs. Briggs sister, Mrs. H. A. Beckstead. J. T. Hamilton got a wire last Friday that the wia of his son, Clifton Hamilton, had died at Clarkdale, Miss. Mr. nnd Mrs. N. E. Ward, Mr. and Mis. Leo Burraston, Dr. and Mrs. James M. Alexander and Boyd Hilton Hil-ton left the cily airport Sunday forenoon, nnd flew to Manti, where they were guests at a breakfast given by the Junior Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Golden Black is in Fillmore this week, with her mother, Mrs. Klhal Baker, who has been ill. W. E. Cook, from Ely, and 1. R. Parker, from Ruth, made the trip over here Saturday and remained over Sunday visiting with their families. Mrs, Floyd Hardy and her infant son left this week to return to their home nt Black Rock, after visiting here with her mother, Mrs. Blanche Works. Mr. nnd Mrs. W. H. Pace returned Sunday from a trip to Pnnguitch, St. George and Cedar City. Miss Gloria Wnrnick, who is employed em-ployed at Ft. Douglas, visiled in Delta over the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. O. War-nick. War-nick. She drove home, and her cousin, cou-sin, Miss Pat Pace, from the B. Y. U., made the trip with her. Miss Lemira Bishop left Delta last Thursday,, for Salt Lake City, where she will be employed. |
