Show GUY EMPEY MADE CAPTAIN. Author of "Over the Top" Given a Commission in National Army. Washington. Arthur Guy Empey, who, while serving with the Canadian overseas forces, took part in several important battles in the first years of the war, has been commissioned a captain in the national army. He will be assigned to the adjutant general's department. Captain Empey was promoted to the rank of sergeant in the Canadian army before he was invalided home on ac-' count of wounds. Captain Empey -is nn Ogden, Utah, boy, who enlisted in the Canadian forces early in the war. He is author of "Over the Top." one of the best known war books so far published |
