MOUNT PLEASANT BOYS JOIN FORCES IN FRANCE m m. m a m a a AMERICAN ARMY CONTINUES TO WIN GREAT VICTORIES GERMANS HAVE BEEN CHASED ACROSS THE MARNE Latest advices from the battle front give us information that the United States army is achieving wonderful success and gaining many victories. The Germans have been driven back across the river Marne and the French and Americans have pushed the enemy back eight miles farther. The Germans have also been driven back from Chateau-Thierry and their losses are very great while the losses of the Americans have been very slight. .The latest reports state that the Germans are fighting stubbornly and are using gas against the Americans.
