An upturn In business, busi-ness, similar to that enjoyed In the United States under the blue eagle of the NRA, Is being felt throughout through-out the world. According to officials offi-cials of the Department of Commerce, Com-merce, millions of workers are returning re-turning to employment In industries indus-tries In many countries. Wages, according to reports to the department, depart-ment, are the highest in years. Since last winter more than 5,000,000 employees have returned to work, it has been estimated. Unemployment in the United States at present has been placed at 11.-0(X1,000. 11.-0(X1,000. Since winter 2,000,000 have found jobs in this country. The total of French unemployed, 2S3.0O0, showed a sharp decline against a large Increase in 1932. In Italy unemployment at the end of April was 1.07S.0OO, about 43,0(X) more than in April, 1032, but the decline from the January high was marked. German unemployment at the end of May, 5,252,000, was 13 per cent under January and 6 per cent under May, 1032. British unemployment, unem-ployment, 2,7-)2.0u(), was 7 per cent under January and 3 per cent under un-der May, 1032.
