Show FOURTH PLACE Bountiful Sharks Swim Team, coached by Jack Sen-ninger, Sen-ninger, Dan Maroney and Marj Kingsbury, brought home fourth place from the annual Bridgerland Open AAU Swim Meet, held January 29 in Logan. IT WAS a total team effort to accomplish this fete, following closely behind Cottonwood Cot-tonwood Heights, Cottonwood Tritons and the Pirates of Magna. The local team trailed third place Magna by only five points. Coaches and parents were pleased with the total performance of the team which features depth at this phase of the season. THE SHARKS are in the building process, with 75 members working out daily at the Bubble Pool. Following the philosophy of Coach Jack Reddish, the local team scores heavily in numbers, taking fewer first places at present, but filling many of The Bountiful Sharks recently won a fourth place in an AAU meet. Team members include, front 1 to r, Scott Christian, Scott Gross, Donny Heath, Todd Quinn, Jeff Reynolds, Jennifer Quinn, Ann Marie Milne. Outstanding for the Sharks this meet were the boys 8 and under relay team which scored first in both Medley relays and free relays. Team members are David Afflick, Todd Quinn, Scott Christian and Eric Eiting. THE LOCAL AAU program has contributed many of the number one swimmers in the high school and college program throughout the state, with excellent training at an early age, with excellence ex-cellence gained from year ' round performances. Those who gain prominence in Utah high school meets, are those who have received the discipline, the work habits, and stroke perfection from the AAU program. THE BRIDGERLAND Open featured 17 teams from Utah and Idaho, with Bountiful turning in one of their better performances against this keen competition, rsp |
