Show Deadline approaching for poetry contest entries Just three weeks left to get your entries in for the poetry contest! This contest, for amateur poets of the Davis County Area, is sponsored spon-sored by the Rhyme and Reason chapter of the Utah State Poetry Society, in honor of National Poetry Poet-ry week, Oct. 11-17. Deadline for entries will be Oct. 17. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at a special awards presentation and free workshop, "Dimensions of a Winner' on Oct. 28, 6:30 to 8:45 p.m., at the , South Davis Branch Library, downstairs. Poems of any style will be accepted. There is no entry fee. Members of Utah State Poetry Society are not eligible to enter. If you have questions, call "Rhyme and Reason" Chapter, 292-2835. The group meets at South Davis Branch Library in the new downstairs down-stairs meeting room every fourth Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. Anyone who is interested in poetry is invited in-vited to attend. Rules of the contest are: one entry en-try per person, poem must be original ori-ginal and unpublished, 40 line limit, poem must be typed, double spaced on 8V2XI 1 paper, no identification identi-fication to appear on the poem, enclose en-close a 3x5 card with name, address, phone and title of peom; enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like an eva- . luation and your poem returned ; all entries must be postmarked no later la-ter than Oct. 17 and sent to Collette Montague, 864 N.
