Show FANNY'S GONE FROM OUR GAZE. The Notorious City Prostitute Forfeits For-feits Her Bonds and Takes the " 3 O'clock Freight." Two o'clock this afternoon was the time set for Fanny Davenport, out on $1,500 bonds, to put-in an appearance before be-fore the Third District Court. The hour arriving with no evident sign of the adventuress ad-venturess showing up, United States commissioner McKay moved the Court . that her name be called, and if no response re-sponse was made, the bond be declared forfeited. . .. The plaintiff called the name of Fanny Davenport three .times, in tones which echoed through the building, but no Fanny came forth. The names of Alfred Solomon and Royal B. Young, her sureties, sure-ties, were then called, and in lack of response the Court pronounced the bond forfeited, and it was so entered upon the ledger of profit and loss. |
