Show THE FLAGSTAFF MINE, ALTA. Development Work to Continue All Winter The Property Being-Put Being-Put In Good Shape. Dr. Bredemeyer, acting agent of the Flagstaff property during the absence in England of Prof. Vincent, was met this morning, and in answer to a question about the condition of matters at the mine, replied that a force of twenty-six men was constantly at work under the foremanship of Captain Bryant, an old-time old-time Colorado man. The commissary is stocked with twenty-five tons of provisions provi-sions for the present winter, and the j boarding-house is sitrated in a safe place from any danger arising from storms and snowslides. It is the company's intention to push the work now under way during the winter win-ter and greatly increase the developments develop-ments of the mine next spring. The workmen are now running two levels east and two west from the lowest part of the main incline, one of which is to connect the winze with the incline, which has lately been retimbered throughout. Each month the company forward a full report of the mine to the head office in London, and the great property is fast being put in a thorough running and promising condition. con-dition. Mr. Vincent will return about the 1st of " June; in the meantime he purposes pur-poses visiting several laree mining properties prop-erties in Africa and South America. |
