The potato crop is smaller than that of 1884, in consequence conse-quence of injury from rot, which reduoed the New York crop nearly one-third. There is much complaint of rot in Wisconsin and Iowa, and in some counties of Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota. It is reported the yield of hay indicates a crop of over 47,003,000 tons, nearly as large as that of last year. The buckwheat crop will be a large average yield, and will exceed fourteen bushels per acre. |
