Cteh ha made application for a United States patent lot the Lena mining slaim, situate in West Mountain Moun-tain Mining District, Salt Lake county, Utah -Territory, consisting of 1,500 linear feet of the lode, and surface ground 194.85 feet wide be ngLot No. 362, and described in the fle'd notes and plat of the official survey on file in this office, with .magnetic variation at 17 degrees de-grees east, as follows : Commencingat post No 1, a corner of the claim, from which U.S. Min- eral Monument No. 5 bears north 35 decrees 41 minutes west 1,171.6 feet distant, and running thence north 26 degrees east 725 feet to Post No t-: .,euce north 51 degrees east 775 feet to Post o. .,: thence south 55 degrees east 200 feet to L?o ir4; l06.1" 80tltn 51 degrees west 775 feet to Post No. o: tbence south 26 degrees west 725 I feet to Post Jo. 6; thence north 55 degrees wet 200 feet to Post No. 1, the place of beginning of exterior bound, expressly excepting and excluding, ex-cluding, however, from the above described area so mueh thereof as is embraced and included in-cluded in the Jordan, Lot 64: Flagstaff, Lot 149-Croesus 149-Croesus Lot 51: Horace Greely. Lot 142: La t cnance. Lot 48; Last Chance, Lot 157: the area claimed being 5.19 acres. The said mining claim being of record in the office of the Recorder Re-corder of said mining district at Bingham, in Salt Lake county.
