Ames was arrested as an alleged accessory. Ames is a married man, and a well-known citizen of West Lynn. A search warrant, served at the home of the Guild-f Guild-f ords this morning, revealed to the police an extensive assortment of instruments known to be used by abortionists. The paraphernalia parapher-nalia was complete. The most important evidence against the accused comes from a young woman whom the police found at the home of the Guildf ords. She said she went I to the house a few days ago and had been operated upon several times. She Baid .she knew of the Taylor case. . The Guildfords have been in Lynn for six or seven years East. A few months ago the police had Sirs. r. Guildford under, arrest, charged with malornotice and causing the death of Mtp Annie H. Dyer, but had not suffioient evi denoe to sustain the charge. '.
