Show THE LOCAL OPERA COMPANY. Second Performance of "Toe Pirates Pi-rates of Penzance" To-TZlgbt. To-night the Careless Opera- Company open their season with the most successful success-ful of their operas "The Pirates of Pen-zancewhile Pen-zancewhile to-morrow afternoon and evening will witness the reproduction of "The Mikado.". "The Pirates," in its first and only presentation by the home company here, eclipsed every former effort in local opera and brought out in the persons of Mis3 Edith Clawson and Mr. Gorlinski two veritable stars. There can be no question but in these two excellent ex-cellent characters the Major General's daughter and the Pirate King the most notable of our home successes are surpassed, sur-passed, and the remainder of the cast is correspondingly able.
