Show GOVERNOR FIiLL of New York has I commuted the sentences of the Thiess boycotters and they are now it liberty This was a deserved clemency as the men were the first to bo punished under the constt action of the law which they violated and their imprisonment has doubtless taught them that there is a wide line between a legitimate boycott and the extortion of money from its victim The reasons given by the Governor Gover-nor are ample to warrant the clemency and his announcement that others who may do similar acts in future can not hope for clemency from him will have the desired effect of killing the extortion adjunct of boycotting |
