Show BOTH CAPTURED Bush and Gleason Run fii the Escaped Birds A large force of deputy marshals were out all day yesterday scouring the country in search of Wheeler and Smith the two men who escaped from the Pen yesterday morning Messrs Bush and Gleason found out last evening that Smiths stepmother lives at the corner of Second South and fourth West streets and so they kept watch of the place in hopes that the boys would show up there They had guessed right for at about 10 30 oclock they saw the forms of the two men moving toward the gate from the opposite side of the street They soon had them handcuffed together to-gether and took them to the Marshals office where they were still to be seen this morning After their escape the two men made their way to the banks of Jordan River and lay in hiding there until night thinking that they could then seek shelter shel-ter with their relatives without danger of being caught They did a good deal of running after the first break and when they got so far away they confidently expected ex-pected to get out of the country without molestation |
