Show THE BONDS MUST BE PAID Cases Heard in the Third District Court Today The regular session of the District Court was held today and the following cases were heard In the case of C F Dixon vs W F Rose the motion to set aside default etc was overruled The case of the United States vs H S Eldredgfe and Francis Armstrong to recover re-cover 20000 signed for by them on the George Q Cannon bond was taken up The privilege of calling a jury was waived and the witnesses were called E T o u prague and Jt U Uritchlow were called by the plaintiffs and after their testimony testi-mony had been taken the case was argued ar-gued by C S Varian for the plaintiff and LeGrande Young and Sheeks Rawlins for the respondents The case was then submitted and the judgment was allowed The defendants were allowed a twenty days stay of proceedings The case of William E Linnon etc vs J C Conklin et al was then called The impaneling of a jury was begun and the venire having been exhausted an open venire was issued for ten more jurors When the jury was completed the defendant Linnon was called as a witness and his testimony was being taken when our report closed Linnons I child was badly injured in Slay last by a car on the track near the Conklin re fining works and this suit is brought to recover damages Baskin and Watrous appear for the plaintiff and W H Hall and C S Varian represent the respondents respond-ents |
